I’ve discussed about the 5 affiliate programs that I’m a member of and that I’m earning from which includes Magic Links.
Magic Links has re-started my affiliate marketing journey. It’s not the first affiliate program I joined (I was a member of Linkworth and Rakuten – then known as Linkshares, since 2009). But it is actually the first program that I’ve tried that made affiliate marketing a lot easier. It is user friendly with easy to understand reporting and managing links. It is the first affiliate program that I joined which offers PPC (Pay-per-click). And it is the one that allows link sharing on social media other than blogs.
How Did I Find Out About Magic Links?
I found out about Magic Links when I was searching on Pinterest about ways to earn money online. At that time, I was miserable at my job. I wanted to get out but the bills kept coming. I didn’t have a choice but to stay. Then on June 2018, they had to cut down on staff and hours and I was the first one to volunteer. I went from full time employee to part time employee working 3 days a week. On the days that I didn’t have work, I’d go online and learn what I can about current flow of affiliate marketing.
Social Media Sharing
The first thing that attracted me to Magic Links was that they allow affiliate link sharing to social media. I wasn’t planning to start a money making blog then. I still have my personal blog that I barely have time to update. So at the start of my journey, I was focused more on working on my Pinterest to get approved for Magic Links. But after having a lot of time on my hand, I finally decided to start this blog instead since I am more comfortable in this platform than in social media.
As My Main Affiliate Program
It took me two tries before I got approved. But once I did, I started posting on Pinterest. Because there was no need to brainstorm ideas or write a blog post for it, I was able to earn right away. It was actually worth it for me to work on my Pinterest. Like I mentioned, it’s a lot easier to use and to track. And it’s actually fun to search for the products that I use or have used which usually consists of crafting materials and planners (I’m an online shopper so it feels like I’m window shopping too). I’m still a long way to go before I reach my goal of 6 figure earnings. But I’m glad to have found the program that encourages me to work more on my blog and in affiliate marketing.
